My overall experience with the bank has been great so far., September, 2016

My experience with the bank has very good. The signup was extremely fast and I had my account ready to go within a few days. The reason I choose this bank, was because it offered no minimum balance and had zero fees. This was a problem with other banks for me, as if you balance falls below a certain threshold, they would charge you fees. I no longer have to worry about that with Capital One.

I also really like the website interface they offer. It's extremely fast and reliable. Whenever I need to check something, or transfer money, it's all done within a few clicks. The website has never been down or ran slow for me, as I've experienced this with other banking websites before.

They also offer some other great services for free. For instance, I can mail a check directly from their website to anyone I want at absolutely no cost to me. They will print and mail a check at zero cost to me. I don't have to pay for shipping or the check itself.

My experience with this bank has been above average and overall good., September, 2016

I initially opened an account with this bank because of its close proximity to where I live. It served as a community bank and was convenient for me. I have been with them for quite a while and I would say that I do not have any significant problems with the bank or customer service. I like that they offer some competitive interest rates on certain savings accounts, though for a limited time. I do not like that the bank sometimes requires you to wait for too long in line to see a teller. I also do not like that sometimes I felt hassled into spending extra--I was called multiple times by bank representatives telling me that a high interest account that I have is for a limited amount of time and that I should do my best to have as many transactions as possible each month to be considered by bank staff as a valued customer and to keep my high interest account after a year. I thought this was in professional and annoying to be contacted and told the same thing on speedster occasions. Overall, I would say the banking institution is above average and fits my needs. It offers greater savings (though very minimal) than other banks in the area and I would recommend others to have accounts with them.

My experience with this bank has been pretty good so far., October, 2016

Capital One was the first bank I chose to go with because I live near a few. It's been a few years, and I have no regrets at all. I haven't had any issues with them. I first got a checking account with them. They sent me some free checks, and everything was set up pretty well. Eventually I got a savings account with them. That, also, was easy to set up. About 2 years later, I got my first credit card with them. I had no established credit, and they still approved me for one with a $250 limit. Eventually I got that limit upped to $500. I've been with them throughout all of my banking needs, and I havent been let down yet. They're the bank I always recommend to neighbors.

Every aspect of the service, from their online interface to their app, works extremely well - allowing me to manage everything about my accounts easily., October, 2016

I've had a Capital One 360 account (their online only account), for as long as it has existed - I was a customer of ING Direct when they were bought out, and my experience with Capital One ever since has been fantastic. They've vastly improved on the original experience that I had with ING with proper check deposit through their phone app as well as an improved web interface to manage my accounts. Plus, even more importantly, while I haven't had to deal with their customer service division all that often, every single time that I have had to do so for some reason or another, it has been a very good experience, and their representatives are always easy to understand, knowledgeable, and helpful, which can be very rare indeed these days.

Very pleasant, positive and satisfying., October, 2016

I have nothing but great things to say about this bank. I started using them maybe about 10 years ago. They were around my neighborhood where I just moved into and I decided to give them a try. For the past 10 years I have always been treated very well as a customer there. The staff is always very attentive to my needs. I have honestly never had a problem with depositing or withdrawing cash. I have even deposited checks from other countries which is now a simple process for me. I also had a money market account with them in which I was making a 1.5 percent interest rate which at the time was not bad. The best thing I have that this bank offers is the Capital One Quiksilver credit card. With everything I purchase on the card I just mentioned, I make 1.5 percent cash back on each purpose. I truly love this bank and the products it offers.

Simply How Banking Should Be, October, 2016

I have been a customer of Capital One 360 for about 4 years now. I switched after my previous bank start charging monthly fee for regular services. I found Capital One 360 after some research. Sign up was easy, and I have been happy with my bank ever since. There have been absolutely no fees, and everything I want and need is included. No monthly charges, bill pay integration, and excellent customer support. Additionally their app is outstanding, it allows me to do most of my banking without needing to open up a laptop. I can even temporary shutoff my debit card if I feel it is necessary. 360 also makes saving very easy, by integrating with their many savings programs. I would recommend them to anyone shopping around for a new banking service.

My overall experience with Capitol One has been great., November, 2016

I joined Capitol One after some bad experiences with Wachovia. I have a checking and a savings account with them. They're extremely friendly in the bank every time I go in, and they go out of their way to help me. One time, they messed something up when replacing my card and did not actually replace it in my account. However, I was able to do this over the phone with their representatives, so it was not that big of a deal. I've made a number of cash deposits and I always used to go to the teller for this. I had never dropped off my cash in an envelope, as Wachovia used to have people do. Dropping cash off just made me uncomfortable. The teller at Capitol One kept insisting I try using their machine instead of the teller, and this annoyed me. Finally, one day, I tried it. I was amazed at how easy and instant it was. The machine scanned the bills and it automatically went into my account. I like the service and the technology there alike.

My experience with capital one 360 banking has been very positive., November, 2016

After a scandal came out about my current bank I decided that I had to switch. I knew I wanted lower overdraft fees and better ATM availability. What I liked about Capital One 360 banking was that I could apply for an overdraft protection line of credit so I would not pay fees but interest. I also enjoyed their mobile banking options and the fact that they will not charge me for using a non Capital One ATM. One big positive is that there is no minimum to open the account and no fees for having a low balance. Overall I have been very satisfied with the bank account. It has been very easy to use and all of my problems have been addressed in a timely manner. I would very much recommend my a Capital One 360 checking account.

Affordable access to slightly higher interests bank services., November, 2016

I have a Capital One 360 account which is a part of Capital One. I originally signed up for this bank when it used to be ING Direct for the no fee banking with both my checking and savings account, a sign up bonus, and a slightly higher rate of return for my checkings and savings. The bank is ran almost completely online with no physical location which is good because I believe this is how they provide no fee services and slightly better interest rates on your saving and checking account. The interface for accessing your account details is very intuitive and the debit card that they give you functions very well. However, its lack of a physical bank presence is also a drawback in the sense that for me, making a withdraw is almost impossible without my debit card and getting customer service is very difficult as to further cutback on resources to pass on savings they make online customer support very limited. They require you to call them up on the phone and the wait can be long. They have begun to offer a mobile option for making payments with a new android app called capital one wallet and I plan to fully take advantage of that once I have a compatible android phone.

I have not had one single problem with this bank for as long as I have been banking with them., December, 2016

I initially tried to join Capital One because at the time that was the only bank that my husband and I got accepted into. We had past problems with other banks that were entirely our fault. Capital One gave us the second chance we needed. I have been banking with this bank for over 5 years and have not had one single problem. Sometimes we have needed things that needed to be researched and they have done that in a timely manner. If we noticed any type of fee on our account it was justified. Anytime I have had to call them, they were more than accommodating. They have very customer friendly phone apps, that I have not had to make a trip to the bank in almost a year. I hope to continue to bank with them for years to come.

My experience has been great; Capital One has a wide range of offerings that fit my needs as a customer and is very convenient., December, 2016

I was a long-time Navy Federal Credit Union customer; entitled to exclusive benefits because of their programs for veterans. I had no plans of switching banks, but I had an online savings account with ING (Now Capital One 360) and enjoyed high savings interest rates and access to easy to use investment options. Convenience eventually won out, and I began transferring accounts one-by-one from Navy Federal to Capital One. First checking, then additional savings, loans, and soon credit cards as well. Even though I have exclusive benefits with Navy Federal, I value the convenience Capital One offers more (online options, digital deposit capabilities, user friendly apps, wide variety of services, and several branch/ATM locations). I still have accounts at both banks and plan to continue this practice, but as my financial wellness increases, I will continue to funnel and increased amount of money into Capital One accounts and services. The balance of convenience and robust product offerings is really important to me. Capital One seems to have financial solutions to everything I need and I doubt I would ever entertain switching banks again.

My experience has been an extremely positive one., January, 2017

Overall, I've had a fantastic experience with Capital One. I started with them as a student in 2011 by opening one of their 'building credit' credit cards. I've had the same card since, and they've quadrupled my limit. I recently opened a convenient checking account with them as a result of their previous (excellent) service. For my card, they frequently offer heavily discounted balance transfers, which I really appreciate. As an example of their excellent service, when I opened my checking account, I didn't use it right away and forgot about it for roughly a month. Once I realized I never received my debit card for the account, I call in and spoke with someone. The individual spoke very clear, perfect English. They overnighted me a new card even though I had no balance in my account. I called pretty late in the evening as well, so to get someone clearly in the USA, as well as super polite, was incredible to me.

    Excellent online bank!, January, 2017

I selected this bank because I was tired of small-time local banks not being open during convenient hours and not having access to an ATM without fees. Capital One 360 checking allows me to use a variety of local ATM machines and waives the additional fee that many of them incur. I am able to upload pictures of checks using their app, allowing me to deposit a check nearly instantly. The customer support for Capital One 360 is next to none! They have always answered the phone quickly, i've never stayed online for a very long time, and i've always had my issue resolved in the first call, and usually quite quickly. Overall I would have to say that capital one 360 checking is an excellent service if you are in the market for a new checking and credit card.

My experience with Capital One has been excellent so far., May, 2017

I first found out about Capital One because my parents are customers there. I first opened a checking account when I got my first job in college. The employee was very clear and helpful in signing me up for an account. After having an account opened, it was easy sailing ahead. I could make purchases online straight from my account and use my bank card if I wanted to buy something in store. The fees associated with bank card use weren't too bad either. I also never had to pay the monthly fee (around $8-$9) since I always had over $300 in my account. When I needed help with something, I contacted customer service through the messaging feature on their website (not live chat). I got a professional response, but the time it took for them to respond was way too slow (around 3 days). I'm sure the 360 checking account would be more suitable to my needs (since I don't make any serious money right now), but the current checking account I have right now works just fine.
