it has been horribe, October, 2016

IThe last year with this bank has been horrible. my husband lost his card in early february and we cancelled it. to get a new card they charged a 10 dollar fee!! so we paid it and waited the 5-7 day turn around came and went so i called well they told me they were sending out the chip cards and that it might of caused a delay and to give it to the end of the week. the end of the week came still no card I called the following monday and they said well a card was never ordered so we will rush and order to you 2 weeks passed and we still didn't get the card. i called in talked to a manager and was issues a refund and was told a card was ordered. a week later we got not 1 not 2 but 5 cards in the mail all with different numbers so i had to call back and ask which one was the card that we should be using. And i was assure the only card active was the one I was going to put in his wallet, a month went by and charges started to appear on the card that was supposed to be cancelled in the first place. come to find out that card had been active the whole time. I had to fight to get the charges reversed. After the fight i decided to leave the company was told that all the cards were close and that I could take my balance over to my new bank. the day I took my money over via check to the new bank they let more charges come through on that card!! this cause the check to bounce and cause my new account to overdraft. I am not a happy customer and recommend no one takes there account till they train their customer service.

My experience with this bank has been poor., October, 2016

I rarely overdraft, but when I do, I feel that they try to take me for every penny I have. Specifically, and maybe all banks are this way but my friends say their banks are not, I had small 3 transactions coming through which I had the money in the bank for. Another company took out a large automatic withdrawal earlier than they should have. As a result, the transactions cleared by taking the largest transaction first, which caused me to overdraft. An overdraft charged was assessed on all three small transactions (totaling over $100). I feel this is a fraudulent way of doing business. To strategically reorganize the transactions to gain the most fees from the situations. This is unfair and poor business practice. I understand that companies have to make money too but this seems like a practice that is purposely trying to take large amounts of money from people. I feel sorry for those that have little money and are taken advantage of by these bank.

Mostly friendly individuals who will help you out when you need it; the bank gets the job done., November, 2016

I have been a customer for 8 years now. Because I started banking when I was a student all of my yearly fees were waived and I have never had to pay a fee once. This is extremely convenient, but if I were to have to begin to start paying fees, then I would be a little more disappointed. I have had good customer service experiences and bad customer service experiences. One time a teller could not find my account and was very rude throughout the whole process, but another time a teller allowed me to deposit coins without them being rolled which was really nice. They have ATMs all over which is really convenient so you might not even need to come into contact with a person if that is not your thing. They also really care about protecting your account which is extremely important to me! I have always enjoyed being a customer of Fifth Third and I doubt that will change any time soon. I would recommend anyone to this bank!

5/3 appreciates my long-standing account and rewards my loyalty with expectional customer service., December, 2016

I have banked with 5/3 for 19 years, even during the 14 years that I lived in South Carolina (there are no 5/3 banks in that region.) I have never experienced any teller mistakes, deceptive fees or rude/incompetent tellers or customer service representatives. There was on situation in which I was charged multiple times for debiting my account when there were no funds available and the customer service rep was kind enough to refund fund me for all but one overdraft fee. I began banking with them when I was 19 because my grandmother worked for them for many years. Several of my high school friends also worked there. The local branch was conveniently located 1 mile away from home. I got an auto loan from them when I was 19 and the interest rates were fair.

Fair experience as this is a smaller bank with not as much as a footprint as the others., December, 2016

I've been with this bank for going on 10 years now. I first applied because I felt like Chase was over doing it with a ton of fees and had dishonest practices. Fifth Third was a nice relief from them because they were smaller and more customer oriented. They were also in the building that I worked in at the time. Over the years, it's started to get away from that and recently I've had several issues with large deposits taking a very long time to show up. Additionally, as I've grown professionally, I don't feel like it is the right bank for where I am in my life right now. Because of some of these issues, I'm thinking about looking for a new banking home that can better satisfy my needs and handle larger deposits.

My experience has been very plesant and without much hassle., January, 2017

I started banking with Fifth Third bank when I was 16 and I opened my first savings account. I have continued to bank with them over the years and have all of my accounts with them. I also have a checking and credit card about with them. My experience has always been pleasant and very easy. The fraud department is excellent and are very aware of purchases being made. I use my accounts for every day spending and also to pay my rent each month. There are several Fifth third bank's in my town and area which makes it incredibly convenient to always have a bank near by. Fifth third also has an excellent mobile app that allows me to deposit checks and receive the funds immediately. I also use it to transfer funds between my accounts quickly and for free. Another great perk about using Fifth third is that there is no ATM fee when using their or partner ATMS. They also reimburse the fee that I pay when using other ATMS. Overall I am very satisfied with their customer service, offered services, and security. They make banking very simple and worry free.

I have never had any issues with this bank., January, 2017

I started with Fifth Third Bank when I was 17 years old. They have always helped me out with any questions or concerns I might have. I have made many contacts throughout my experience with them and do not hesitate to reach out to them. They are willing to wave some fees for me if I have any issues without asking questions. They have removed fraud charges on my account without any hassles. I have lost many credit cards over time and they have never charged me to replace or cancel them. They have given me advice even on how to deal with other banks, for free, when I am not dealing with them for a loan. Until something bad actually happens to me with this bank, I really have nothing to complain about in regards to there services. They have always been there and helped me out.

Friendly staff, good banking options., August, 2017

I started using this bank because I made financial mistakes with my previous bank. My previous bank closed my account and I could not get a regular checking account anywhere else. I saw an advertisement for this bank and decided to apply and see if they would grant me an account. They offered me a checking account for a reasonable monthly fee. After I have been with this bank for a year I have the option apply for a regular checking and savings account with no fees. I currently can not deposit checks in an atm which is a major drawback of the account but all things considered I am very pleased. I have also used this bank's notary services. The service was free since I am an account holder. The bank location I used had two notaries onsite and my wait time was about 15 minutes. The entire process was smooth and quick and only took about 20-25 minutes. I would recommend this bank to anyone who had financial difficulties in the past.
