It has been pain free and good., September, 2016

The biggest thing about the bank is that there have been no surprises. There have been no unexpected fees charges or expenses of any kind. The are many convenient ATM's and banks in my area. The online banking is simple and easy to interact with and it was easy to pay bills electronically. The interest rates offered by the bank on savings and checking balances is minuscule but that is true of the vast majority of banks. I have my HELOC through them and they were very helpful and quick in setting it up at a great interest rate. All in all a d professional feel with friendly customer service during the whole load process. I never felt pressured or uncomfortable because they were pushing services I didn't want. In summation I'd just say it has been a painless and solid experience if not necessarily exciting.

I've had a really positive experience with PNC. Their customer service is consistently good, and I feel like they always resolve any issues quickly., September, 2016

I really like the online banking system through PNC, which helps me to track my savings and spending goals. I like that the customer service reps always treat me with respect and make me feel like a valued customer, regardless of how much money I have in my account. I also really like the mobile banking app. It helps me to schedule transfers really easily, check my balance, and deposit checks remotely -- which is handy, saving me a trip to the bank location itself when my paycheck arrives in the mail each month. I like their ATM fee reimbursement plan. I also like that they don't try to "upsell" me on new products all the time, when I'm making deposits. I wish that their checking account interest rates were slightly higher, but I feel like that has much more to do with the economic climate than the bank itself. Overall, I really like PNC and plan to stay with them for the foreseeable future.

They have had some problems with customer service, September, 2016

I have been with PNC Bank for seventeen years, became a customer when we moved from North Carolina to New Jersey. I remember the first interaction I ever had with them. I came into the bank to deposit a check. The woman at the counter helping me told me "you know that you could do that from the atm, right?". This didn't exactly make me happy with their customer service. At the time, I didn't feel comfortable making a deposit through the atm. And she didn't really say it in a helpful way, either. That's what made me think that they didn't care about customer service. Over the years, their service has been okay. JUST OKAY. They have the usual services available, and my husband uses their services to manage our retirement accounts (we both carried over money from IRAs). But again, everything they do is just okay. They are not particularly pleasant to talk to, and they act like you are impositioning them if you come into the bank to do a transaction. I don't understand this attitude. This is the one time that you have a chance to shine! Show people that you give a crap that they put their money and trust into their bank. Recently, I was depositing a check for my daughter, who is away at college. She has one of their special "student" accounts, which means that she actually has three accounts with them. I jokingly told the teller that I didn't really understand what the "third" account was for. She replied that "yeah, usually only young people really get that they might have a need for it." Insulting enough, but then I asked her to explain it. She couldn't do that very easily. I pick up on her meaning, and repeating back to her what she was trying to say. She says, "that's it! See, that's why it's meant for young people." Just going over this makes me angry all over again. By the way, one of the other tellers mentioned that I could have done my transaction at the atm. I smiled and replied that that was very helpful of her, but I could not have because I didn't know the account number and had to ask. Plus, I didn't have access to my daughter's account, as it's not tied to my card. Yeah, when we move at the end of this month, it will be time for a better bank!

It has been good so far, they have a nice web portal, good customer service, October, 2016

Well, for one my bank isn't PNC, I would never bank with them. My bank is called PSECU and it's not even a bank it's a credit union. I don't know why you would make it so I couldn't proceed because you don't have my credit union in your system.

I opened this credit union account because I prefer credit unions to banks. I heard a lot of good things from people on credit forums, and I am interested in opening one of their credit products in the future. I also applied for a loan with them and the representatives that I spoke to were very helpful and willing to have a conversation with me since it was my first time looking at loans. They walked me through the process and helped me make decisions. Also, I received a really nice welcome packet from them. Not only was it beautiful but it was really in depth. I also got free checks. The main thing I'm happy with is having atms around that take deposits and don't charge, and the nice web portal. I've had accounts with other credit unions that have had really outdated web banking pages.

PNC has been a great place to store my money and have a checking account, October, 2016

PNC was the bank I chose when moving to State College. My wife already had an account and we were combining our money. Since my credit union was not in town we decided to go with PNC. Their customer support for this as well as the services they provide has been excellent. They are very attentive and are very willing to help. They were also one of the first banks to support Apple Pay which was a very appealing feature for me. I'm excited to be a part of their bank and would highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a place to keep their money. Their online site (Virtual Wallet) is a fantastic way to view the status of your account. You can see where your money is being spent and compare different months to determine if you are going over budget or not.

PNC has been a great bank and has always provided excellent service to us., October, 2016

We had previously been with another local bank which was just killing us with fees. The straw that broke the camels back was when that bank accidentally took out an auto debit twice resulting in an overdraft fee which they refused to refund, even though it was the banks fault. On the advice of a friend, we went to PNC bank and decided it was time to switch. From the moment we walked into the bank, we were blown away by their customer service. They treated us great. We got a checking and savings account which came with great features that our previous bank had charged a ton for. We received free overdraft protection from our saving account, one free overdraft every rolling 6 months, no monthly maintenance fees as long as we had a direct deposit and the best part of all, a rewards debit card which pays us back for purchases made at certain places. Anytime we have ever had an problem with our account, their customer service has been quick and helpful, even going so far as to staying late after the bank closed to help us with an issue. And the free overdraft every 6 months has really come in handy. We have used it twice so far for accidental overdrafts. This alone has saved us about $70. We have also received over $200 in cash back from the rewards program. It was the best decision to switch to PNC and we have never regretted it.

Overall I have had a positive experience with PNC Bank., October, 2016

I had moved to a new area a few years ago, so I was searching for a new bank to take my business to. The things most important to me were location, no fee ATM card use, and online banking and bill paying. As far as location goes, there are two branches within a 10 minute drive of my house making for convenient banking. Secondly, finding a bank that didn't charge for using non-bank ATM's was very difficult. Not many institutions offer that as a service. In fact PNC was the only bank on my list that did. Thirdly, was online banking and bill paying. They have a very easy to use interface on the web which is how I do most of my business. Overall, banking with PNC Bank has been a positive experience for me.

I have no had any issues with this bank, they always help me if there is an issue that needs to be resolved., October, 2016

After I got married I had to go change my last name at the bank - I heard this is something that can be a pain and I was dreading going. Everyone was super helpful and made it a quick and easy process. One of the people who helped me forgot to have me sign a paper. He called me directly the following day and offered to mail it to me so I wouldn't have to go back in and would supply a pre stamped envelope for return since it was his mistake. I thought it was very nice and told him I would just stop in that day since it was so close. As soon as I walked in everyone remembered who I was and got me in and out very quickly since it was a mix up on their end.

I have had a quality experience with PNC, October, 2016

I needed a bank account for many various things. I went to PNC and they told me about their rates and fees and all involved with their services and I could not bring myself to walk out without opening an account. I have a debit card that allows free auto teller machines transactions at most auto teller machines. I have taken out personal loans as well from this bank and have received great understanding, flexibility, and fees. I have told many people about the great services that pnc bank offers and have and will again, highly receomend pnc bank. Eventually I will be needing a home mortgage and I can guarantee that i will be going to pnc for the home mortgage. I have received info about their rates and services and am incredibly happy with them.

PNC has been able to meet all of my banking needs., October, 2016

Before I joined PNC banking, I had been using a local bank. I moved out of state and needed to find a new bank. I chose PNC because of their convenient location to my current residence and because I knew that if I moved again there would likely be a location near my new home. The process to sign up for a basic free checking account was very easy and professional. The mobile banking services for paying bills and managing accounts was very convenient. I recently applied for a credit card through PNC and was very pleased with the information that was provided to me by the bankers. The process was simple and fast; I was approved the same day. The card that I was approved for had very favorable interest rates, sign up bonuses, and rewards programs.

I have had no complaints with this bank to this point., October, 2016

I joined the bank to join accounts with my girlfriend. The banker was very friendly who set us up. He did a good job of explaining their processes and gave me good information on the online banking. The website is pretty user friendly although it did take time to figure it out. We tried using their budgeting software but it was not as good as what we already were using. The biggest problem I have had is finding where on the website my actual statements are and inability to get my account number from the website. Otherwise, the ATMs are convenient, fast, and easily usable. The few times I have been into the bank I have had a good experience. Lines were not long and people were very friendly. I would recommend them to anyone.

My overall experience has been mostly positive, and my needs have primarily been met., October, 2016

I have been a member of this bank since I went away to college 25 years ago. It was originally National City, and was incorporated by PNC. Location and availability of branches was the primary reason I selected this bank, and that continues to be true to this day. The branch tellers are always helpful and polite, however, I have run into a few issues in the past with overdraft fees that should not have been charged to me, based on how they at one time processed charges overnight. Despite these issues, I was actually awarded a refund on those charges after a class action lawsuit, and from that point on I have had no problems or issues with the bank. I like that my account charges me no maintenance fees, is an interest bearing checking account, and has both a website and a mobile app that make my banking as easy as possible. The rewards program can be helpful at times, given that you get cash back at certain retailers, but I liked the points structure before, where you earned points for every purchase (more like a rewards credit card), and then could redeem those points for a wider variety of products.

    5, November, 2016

My experience with the bank has been awesome. I first started banking with National City Bank, which was acquired by PNC a several years ago. The service has remained the same, at an exceptional level. I have never gotten any bogus fees or charges. The online service is also very good and easy to use. I can look up any information I chose online. I can look at checks that were deposited into my account, as well as checks I wrote. I can see all the purchases made from my account and I can download account information. I care about the environment and years ago, I was offered the option to choose paperless billing and now I get an email and a text when my account statements are ready.

All in all, I do not foresee switching banks, I really enjoy the level of service I get from PNC.

Its been good and satisfying for my needs., November, 2016

I found PNC bank when i was searching for my home loan and i have contacted the customer service. The response was immediate and the information given by them is appropriate and clear. and also the rates they offer competitive. I started the process with them, it went very smoothly and without any hassles, they are clear in asking documents they need and quick in decisions. And i got my load approved in no time.

Their online banking is also very good and easy to operate. The instructions are very easy to follow and i have never faced any technical difficulties while operating online services.

Even their customer service is very friendly and quick to solve my issue. Even i like the way bank is secured while entering username and passwords.

Pleasant to work with., November, 2016

I first opened up my checking account with PNC Bank when I was a senior in high school. I remember I took my first check from my new job to the one near my house. The teller was very friendly and it barely took any time at all. I felt that I was well informed about how my account worked and where to go if I had any questions. I was so satisfied with my checking account that I actually opened up a savings as well. It was free which is exactly what I was looking for. Ever since I opened my accounts, PNC has been very helpful with their customer service both in person, on the phone, and online. I am very impressed with the low wait time over the phone to talk to someone.

Pretty good, I like the online banking very much and have found their ATMs and ATM policies very convenient., November, 2016

We had a bad experience with our home loan customer service, the staff member helping us often wrote down wrong information and missed deadlines and was a poor communicator to the point that it almost cost us our house. However, once the loan was finalized, we have had great experience with the loan management, communication and online interface. Similarly, I have been treated very rudely by the staff who work the drive through teller kiosks at my local branch, but have always had a great experience with the intuitive and powerful features in the online banking website and using the ATMs. So overall, awesome structure and internet features and very happy with the way they allow me to use my money, but not thrilled with most of my interactions with actual live staff people.

Great experience with this bank., November, 2016

I love PNC bank they really have treated me like family over the course of the time being with them. I initially pick PNC because the location is really close, I then discovered the customer service was really superb, any issues I had they were polite and took care of promptly. Once I was a customer for awhile I learned they had no service fees actually no fees what so ever. I love their online site you can control all of your needs through this site, also their mobile app is great for depositing checks via your phone so you don't have to enter a branch every time.

I also love when I overdrafted just a few dollars they had a grace dollar amount that if it's under 5 dollars on a overdraft they don't punish you with fees, that really helped me out alot. Overall PNC bank is the best bank ive banked with I wouldn't choose anyone else.

PNC is generally convenient, responsive to my concerns and fair., November, 2016

PNC is the most convenient choice for me in the locations I have lived in the past seven years, which is why I initially chose to bank with them. I initially banked with National City, which was acquired by PNC many years ago.

I have been less satisfied with the tellers in the past few years, but changing to a different bank seems like too much work. Their employees often try to push additional products on me, regardless of my total disinterest. Their interest rates are unbelievably low, but seem to be comparable with other nation chains. Their mobile/online banking almost always works and allows for instant internal transfers which is helpful. They are less than straightforward about what transactions require preauthorization which has proven annoying on more than one occasion. I appreciate the mobile deposit and ATM deposit options.

I have had a very wonderful experience with this bank., November, 2016

I have had nothing but positive experiences with PNC Bank. The tellers and representatives at the branches have always been friendly and helpful. At the main branch I bank through, the manager has gone out of his way to help me with account problems that I have had in the past that I wasn't able to resolve on my own. Calling customer service on the phone, while it is a bit annoying that the hours are limited, is also a good experience. You can always easily reach a person, and they are polite and helpful, taking their time to research whatever issue you may be having so they can answer all of your questions. Even though PNC is a large national bank, I've never had an issue with them, and enjoy being a customer.

It has been mostly positive and convenient., November, 2016

The worse thing that has ever happened with this bank is that I was hit with an overdraft fee due to my own negligence, and they wouldn't reverse it. I was peeved by the situation, but I understood. They also have annoying fees if I use a teller and don't have a certain amount of money inside my account. Other than that, their customer service is good, my money transfers relatively quickly, and I can use my card just about anywhere. I also like the fact that they have ATMs everywhere so I can withdraw physical cash if I ever need it. I use their virtual wallet service which allows me to shop online easily, and provides me an online portal to see my spending habits, as well as any card activity, which I really like.

PNC Bank offers great services and is very reliable., December, 2016

PNC bank has been a great place to keep my money. No, the savings rates and CD rates are not great, but PNC makes up for it in their customer service and online products. Recently, I got married and needed assistance joining my and my wife's savings accounts. The woman who helped us could not have been nicer. She got our accounts linked up, got us promoted to earn greater rewards, set up new debit cards and checks for our new checking account, and got us acquainted with PNC's Virtual Wallet. Our recent trip could not have gone better. After toying around with the Virtual Wallet, I have to say that it is fantastic. It's super easy to transfer money for different types of funds. Since we qualify, we do not have any fees for any of these transactions! The bottom line here is that the products are very cool for budgeting and future planning.

My overall experience has been positive., December, 2016

I opened an account very easily and at the same time, I applied for a business credit card in conjunction with my checking account. Both were approved because my credit is excellent and I've been doing business with them ever since. The representative was very helpful in picking just the right vehicle for my use and also recommended a few other services external from the bank which I have used and am very happy with. I am presently looking into opening another line of credit as well as securing a business loan. Whenever I go to see the representative it is always a positive experience. I research my needs and take my list to the bank with me and we spend however long it takes for me to be satisfied.

It started out ok but fees and changes to atm policies keep getting worse and worse., December, 2016

I initially picked this Bank because I wanted to deposit checks with my phone instead of driving to my bank all the time. And it was recommended by a friend. At first it was good and I liked the features. But it seems like every single year the savingsame APRs are going down and the atm fees and penelties have gone up. Before they were free and they would reimburse you $10 a month for fees from the atms. Where it is now, you get billed twice. You get a fee from the atm and then another $3 fee from PNC on top of that and they only reimburse you $6 total for atm fees. I use a mac twice a month and I have to pay more than reimbursed. They also have crappie policies with debit cards. They saw my number was compromised.....told me nothing....issued a new card which I got like 5 business days later, and immediately cancelled my card. I found out it was cancelled immediately because my card was being declined everywhere. I had to call to find out what happened and then wait a week for a new card.

I had a great experience with this bank., December, 2016

A few months ago I was looking for a new bank to keep my extra funds in. My sister recommended PNC bank because her boyfriend works there and he said that it is a good bank. So I finally signed up. The signing up process was sort of long. It felt like I was at the bank for at least and hour and a half while they asked me many personal questions. That was my only negative about the bank so far but other than that the bank experience was fine. Any time I have had a question, they are willing to answer me in a prompt and courteous manner. The online banking is very easy to control and navigate so far and the fees are a reasonable $7 per month if I was to use their teller service. Overall, I have not had any problems with the bank service so far.

My banking experience has been user friendly and hassel free., December, 2016

I first started to use this bank in college due to accessibility of ATMs. I've continued to use this bank because as I have moved across the country there has always been surcharge free ATMs in close proximity to my home or work. Proximity of surcharge free ATMs has definitely been the most important reason that I have stayed with this bank for so many years. However, I also have both a checking and savings account with PNC bank. While the interest rates on the savings account is comparable to other banks, the ability to tie more than 1 account together to prevent over draft fees is essential. Additionally, this bank does not constantly call me to inquire about new programs that I may be interested in, which is nice.

I have never had any issues with using my bank., December, 2016

When I lived in Chicago a few years back, I needed a bank. I lived across the street from PNC, so it seemed logical that I give it a shot. I talked to one of their employees and everything seemed great. I liked the rates and the fact that I could take money out of ATMs and they would reimburse me for the fee. This was a major point for me, aside from the convenience. I have since moved to a different state and PNCs are not prevalent here, however, I am still a customer. The reason being, they offer a great mobile service. I have had no need to go into an actual location. I can do everything over my phone. I can simply take a picture of a check, and BAM! It is deposited into my account. I think that is amazing. PNC is a great bank.

It is a similar experience that I would have ay any other bank., December, 2016

PNC has changed a lot over the past few years. When I first signed up for my current account, I had a lot more benefits than I currently have. I used to not have to have a minimum balance, I used to get a reasonable interest rate on checking and savings, and everything just ran much smoother in the online banking interface. I am currently disappointed with the way things have changed so much, but I don't feel like going through the hassle of switching to a different bank. I know that there are other options and much better offers, but everything is already linked to this bank account and I don't want to change all of my other accounts on various things (i.e. for bills, paypal, etc.). 4 years ago, I would have recommended my current account to other people, today I would tell them to steer clear of PNC and look for a better offer elsewhere.

PNC Bank has been reliable and has always corrected any issues I've had promptly and effectively., December, 2016

I have really enjoyed my time as a customer of PNC. Their services work effectively - not only their banking services, but their website and mobile application work well and make it easy to bank on the go. I have two separate accounts with PNC, and their user interface makes it easy to transfer money between accounts and reallocate funds. Their fees are reasonable and their interest rates are fine. The way their accounts are set up is very conducive to encouraging both short-term and long-term saving.

The few times I have had issues with PNC, a quick call to customer service is all it took to resolve the issues and the customer service staff is always polite, helpful, and fast in taking care of any issues that come up. Overall, I have had a good experience as a customer.

Great, have never had any problems., January, 2017

In addition to doing my personal banking, I'm also the treasurer for a non-profit organization and we chose PNC for our bank. What I like about PNC is that they have a variety of options for those of us who are fee sensitive. They also have a very desireable plan for non-profits where no fees are charged and no minimum balances are required. I also have my home mortgage with PNC and the rates are very competitive.

My favorite thing about PNC is they are very technology oriented. I very rarely go inside of the bank and do everything either with my PNC app or with the outside ATM. I have a savings account linked to my checking account to automatically transfer funds to prevent any overdrafts which works very well for me.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with PNC Bank and their services.

I am satisfied with my decision to open an account at PNC Bank as opposed to another bank., December, 2016

I opened my account with PNC Bank after my sister-in-law recommended them. At the time, there were many branches near me and it was easy to deposit my checks from my first full time job. After my husband opened an account with them, I loved the fact that we could transfer each other money through online banking. Eventually, we opened up a joint savings account together. We had to close our joint savings account because we couldn't meet the minimum balance of $300 after we fell into hard times. The monthly $5 fees for not having the minimum balance added up. We moved to a small midwestern town last June, and now our closest branch is two hours away. We are going to have to close our accounts with PNC Bank for this reason.

The experience with the bank has been mostly problem free., January, 2017

Our family opened accounts at this bank many years ago when we moved to the area. It has changed hands a few times since them, and is currently PNC bank. We have checking and savings accounts at this bank, and have also gotten two auto loans through it. We have found the customer service to be generally good and interactions generally problem free. We use online and mobile banking as well. Those functions work most of the time. Sometimes parts of the online banking system are not able to load and we have to try again later. That can be frustrating, but it does not happen often enough to be a problem. Overall we are happy with our experience at PNC and would recommend the bank to others in the area.

My overall experience with PNC has been great, they realy seem to care for there customers., January, 2017

I opened this account because they were in a convenient location. I was a little worried at first because it is such a big name bank I figured I would not get a personal service. I was very surprised when they took all the time I needed to answer any and all questions that i had for them before I even opened an account. Since I have opened my account they have been very helpful with any questions or problems i have had.

The only complaint I could say that i have had is how low the interest rates are on the accounts, but I can not blame them for that I guess because they are bad everywhere. Other than that I could do without the fees that are associated with the account. I don't feel I should have to pay for cheeks and stuff like that, but it is something i can deal with to have the service they do provide.

I have never been happier to be wrong about a company before., January, 2017

For a long time, I had a fairly negative view towards banking. This was probably a fairly juvenile outlook on my part, but it is what it is. I had been having drinks with some friends one evening when one of them called over a friend who happened to be a banker. We talked for a while about my attitude towards the bank, he ended up inviting me to come in and talk. I've been a customer now for over 5 years. I am completely pleased with the experience. There has never been a time when I have walked into either of the local branches and not been either waved to or greeted by name by someone in the bank. I don't feel like I'm treated as a customer, I feel like I'm treated like family. Would recommend the bank without any reservations to anyone.

it has been good, January, 2017

My experience with the bank has been an overall positive one. Overall, the bank has taken great care to protect my money and my overall accounts. A specific instance of this would be when they detected suspicious activity on my spending accounts in the fall. They took the action to cancel my card and send me a brand new one. I felt that this was the responsible thing to do because I was new to living in the city and I did not want my account information to be stolen. In other situations, the bank has been extremely helpful when it comes to customer service. In junior year of college, my roommates and I wanted to set up a joint account. The bank was very helpful when it came to setting up the account

Good quick service with no problems., January, 2017

There isn't much to say. I've never had any problems with this bank, they've always been very reliable and have provided me the exact services I needed. The location is very convenient for me, as it is within 10 minutes of my house. They also have a 24 hour ATM service that is very useful and is something that I use often as it is easier than going into the bank. The only complaint would be that sometimes if I do go in, the service can be a little slow since it is pretty busy. The staff, however is very polite and are always helpful. I've been with this bank for five years and will probably be with them for a while. They are reliable and a decent enough bank for the basics of what you could want.

The customer service is great and they have many types of accounts to help keep track of my finances., May, 2017

I like this bank. They offer many different kinds of financial resources. I am able to do a lot of transactions online or at the ATM so it makes tasks easier and quicker. I like avoiding going to a teller if I have other options. I think they really cater to the people around them. A lot of people who use the bank are students and they offer many programs that cater to students in the area. It is also used by most employers in the area so getting paid is quick and accurate. One of the downsides is that if you travel far from the area finding a branch or even an ATM can be difficult. Unless you are in a large city getting access to your money can become difficult.

It is a nice bank ,plenty of atm close by., June, 2017

I remember first opening accounts here a couple times. first checking then savings and then the personal wallet. The workers are great and friendly. I'm not in much but when I am I can expect a smile. The online banking is outstanding. It really makes it easy to keep my finances on track. With all the accounts with the virtual wallet I never get overdraft fees. It seems the tellers are just as upset about not preventing overdraft fees as I am paying them. The atm's are everywhere. In the bank locations in supermarkets in convience stores everywhere. If I happen not to be able to find anuse one of their atm's they reimburse me. It is nice at the end of the month to see five dollar atm fees returned. I dont know the limit but its great.

My experience has been positive and convenient, July, 2017

There are usually no fees associated with my account at PNC so I am very happy about that. Also, they handle fraudulent charges to your account very well and swiftly. One complaint I have though is that they default on a lot of paper statements and forms so it is a bit inconvenient until you are able to go fully paperless but other than that I am very happy with my experience so far. I do not usually have to pay for using an ATM outside of the PNC system and their app works very well for mobile deposits and checking your accounts on the go. THey are overall very safe to choose and if your identity is stolen they will be friendly and make sure you get your money back in the end.
