    My experience has been excellent., September, 2016

    I began banking with US Bank in 2004 when I moved to Tennessee. I previously had an account with Comerica Bank in Texas. Comerica Banks online services were behind the times. Because I prefer doing virtual banking as much as possible, I changed banks. Also, US Bank's Bill Pay service is outstanding. My local branch is located in Manchester Tennessee. The same manager and assistant manager of that branch have been there since I first opened my account 12 years ago. Recently, I also opened a business account at the same bank because I like the convenience of having business and personal at the same bank. I can log in to my personal account and access my business account and credit card all on one website with one login. I am very satisfied with my bank.

    Overall, my experience has been relatively pleasant., September, 2016

    My current bank is US Bank. When we moved to this area we noticed that they had several locations that were convenient to us as well as multiple ATM locations. My husband and I knew we wanted both a checking and savings account at the same place and they had the ability to provide that for us. My husband is also prior military so that gave us to the opportunity to have the monthly fees waived on our account which was a huge plus for us. We are also able to do a lot of our banking online as well as through the mobile app which makes things very easy. I can see my balances as well as transfer money between accounts from my phone. All of my experiences have been very pleasant with this bank. I am a satisfied customer.

    US Bank has been a basically good experience, providing excellent customer service and prompt responses to problems., October, 2016

    I've been banking with US Bank for over 20 years, since they acquired the previous bank. The availability of locations throughout most of the U.S. has been useful several times. Their rate and fee structure has remained somewhat competitive over the years. The customer service at both branches I frequent has always been friendly and helpful. At the national level, customer service has been average, with occasional long waits on the phone and a rude individual in one instance. I had utilized their online banking facilities to pay most of my bills until about five years ago. At that time, many of my payees developed online payment facilities which I now utilize. US Bank's online bill pay is somewhat cumbersome, and the five day delay in processing mail payments to my local waste disposal company is annoying. Lastly, US Bank doesn't provide any spending tracking unless you move to a premium (costly) account.

    The customer service has been fantastic, but the locations are sometimes inconvenient., October, 2016

    US Bank had purchased my mortgage, so I ended up moving all of my accounts there for the sake of convenience. I primarily do online and mobile banking. Their online banking is great and I prefer it over other banks that I have used. They recently updated their mobile app which makes banking on the go a little more difficult. They have added a lot of unnecessary screens and menu taps needed to find out information or make simple transactions. For the times that I do need to go into the branch, the customer service has been fantastic. The personal banker I worked with when opening a HELOC recognizes my wife and I every time we walk through the doors and chats with us to see how things are going. The only downside is the location of the branches. They are not as common as a Bank of America or Wells Fargo, so it can be inconvenient if I need to go to an actual branch. Outside of that, I have no complaints about US Bank.

    It has consistently been fair and reasonable., October, 2016

    I started banking with them in 1996 with a checking account. In 2004 I began to work for them as a teller, then became teller coorrdinator, and then a banker. Being a former employee I am more aware of the policies that banks have to follow, so I am more forgiving and understanding to the way they do things. I do not like that there is now a fee with I use our overdraft protection of $12, especially since it is through a premiere line loan that charges a higher interest rate anyway. I had thought about changing banks a few times since we now live 25 minutes from the closest branch, but since so much banking is now done online I have not taken the steps to change. Plus it is so hard to transfer everything to a new bank since you now have direct deposit, auto-pay,mortgage etc.

    My experience overall has been positive with US Bank in the 10+ years I have been banking with them., October, 2016

    I initially opened a savings account with this bank when I got my first job as the location was very convenient to my house, and my family also had accounts at the bank. I then opened an additional checking account with the bank after turning 18. The customer service has always been very helpful and prompt when I need assistance, and I have never really had any issues with either of my two accounts. The account fees are easily waived by having a reoccurring transfer from your checking account to your savings account. Locations are typically quite convenient in my state, and I am always able to find a location easily. I would definitely consider this bank for any of my future financial needs, and have no plans of switching to another provider for my current accounts.

    My overall experience with US Bank has always been very positive., October, 2016

    US Bank has always been very fair and positive to deal with over the years. Whenever I've had an issue, request, or problem, it's been dealt with quickly and in a friendly, customer-service oriented manner. Their phone customer service, for instance, is onshore, which is a nice benefit in this environment of offshoring so much customer service. The bank itself offers hours and locations conducive to working people. When I had an issue with an ATM "eating" a paper check I deposited years ago, the customer service people were easy to reach, and gave me time to get a duplicate check from my ex-husband (child support check) to deposit with them. They covered any charges made to the account in the meantime, even though they didn't have a valid check from me. When I applied for a credit card recently, they gave me a terrific rate plus 0% for one year.

    I have belonged to 3 banks in my life and USbank has by far been the most user friendly; surpassing all of my expectations when it comes to customer service, fees and establishing my credit., October, 2016

    In my seven year experience with USbank, I cannot recall one negative experience I have had. I first signed up with them because they were in walking distance to my home. My timing turned out to be excellent because I got a $75 bonus for opening up a checking account when I did. I was a bit of an irresponsible idiot about 10 years ago and my previous account was closed due to delinquency. When it was all said and done, USbank was the only bank I found that would allow me to reopen a checking account. It was that little bit of faith they gave me that has helped me stay on my game and not get into financial rears with my bank again. Fast forward several years, and they even approved me for my first line of credit which is essential these days if you ever want to make a significant purchase. They have given me a new lease on life. The staff is always surprisingly young, but incredibly knowledgeable and friendly regardless. They have always done a fine job of putting things in lamens terms for a village idiot like myself, without in any way being condescending. They have put my mind at rest over any concerns I have had in the past. No desire to change banks at anytime in the future.

    My experience with this bank has been wonderful., October, 2016

    I have used this bank since I was a freshman at college. I originally chose this bank because of the student plan and have continued to use this bank because of the low interest rates and fees. The application process was quick and easy. The credit card application was easily obtained and processed quickly. I also love the convenience of having everything available to you online, from checkbook requests to requesting credit card increases. I have never had a problem with this bank. I personally before to use the drive thru, but when I do have to go inside, everyone that I have encountered, no matter which branch, has been nothing but courteous. When I use the drive thru, everything is handled quickly. The ATM's are also very easy to use. My only complaint would be the lack of institutions around the state that I live in.

    I like to go to the local branch which a lot of banks don't even have a local branch anymore. The local branch people know who I am anytime I go in there., November, 2016

    I had been with them for over 10 years. I wish they will be more technologically advance. Most bank have better mobile app than them but overall I'm satisfy with their services. I have the account with them that is no minimum amount, overdraft protection, have a little interest(wish it is more). We also get free checks. I sometimes need to do international wire transfer. The charge is not outrageous however it depends on which branch you go to, some branch are more experience in that and can get things done smoother. I actually have an IRA account with them which automatically transfer from my checking account to the IRA account so far the performance of my IRA account is pretty good. I do wish the bank will be more on the tech savvy side. I had once try to sign up online for the account, it just so complicated provided I have a Discover account which is a lot easier to navigate.

    My experience with US Bank has been better than any other bank I have used in the past., November, 2016

    I used to bank with two different banks, one for checking/savings and one for my investments. When my investment advisor moved to US Bank, I withdrew the money from my investment account and followed her to US Bank. The first time I visited her at US Bank, I was immediately impressed by their customer service. I was introduced to many of the people working at the bank. This has occurred at two different branches.

    Not long after, I was at the bank I used for my checking and savings account. The teller chastised me for not adding up the total on my deposit slip. I felt this was poor customer service. I withdrew the money from these personal accounts and moved them to US Bank.

    I have been very satisfied by how pleasant and helpful the employees are at US Bank. I have even had a "personal banker" call me to let me know that if I ever need anything, she is happy to help. I have never received this type of personal service from any other bank that I have used in the past.

    My overall experience with this bank has been a good one., November, 2016

    Due to unforseen circumstances, my then current checking account with one of US Bank's competitors became delinquent and was closed by the bank. Because of this, I was placed in Chex Systems, and was unable to open another checking account at most banks I checked. I happened to see a sign one day that US Bank was offering "Second Chance" checking accounts, for those people like myself who were unable to get an account anywhere else. The application process was actually quite simple, requiring only my proof of income and a small initial deposit of $100. It is thanks to the great people at US Bank that I was able to finally open a checking account again, which in turn allowed me to obtain financing for a used car purchase.

    CONVENIENT LOCATIONS, HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE, December, 2016

    US Bank has many convenient locations and ATMs throughout the city and suburbs. However the customer service is absolutely awful. The lines are always very very long and the banktellers waste too much time swapping personal stories with customer. This would be a great connection if there were many more tellers to move the line faster. Despite the very, very lengthy customer lines there are usually several people standing around literally doing nothing else that could jump in to help faster process customers. Once I finally make it through a very, very,very, long customer line I have had very positive interactions with the banktellers who are usually friendly and kind. Bottom line: reduce customer service wait times and I think US Bank would rank much higher in customer satisfaction polls.

    Convenient locations for in-person banking needs and easy-to-use online banking, December, 2016

    This bank has brick-and-mortar locations that are easy for me to use and a wide enough national network that my husband and I can access their ATMs without fees when we're traveling in the US. The online website and mobile app allow me to monitor checking accounts easily, along with my credit card, and transfer money between them. It's easy to also access my rewards account and use reward points as I like. My only complaint is that I wish I could deposit paper checks using my phone camera like I can with one of my online-only checking accounts. It's easy for my avoid the monthly 6.95 checking account fee because we've set up direct deposit and auto bill-pay but I have to admit I'd rather the checking account was free and earned higher interest.

    Excellent, December, 2016

    In as many years as I've been with this bank, there have been multiple reasons to contact them for customer service. Whether I'm calling in for service from back east or walking in to talk to a local branch, they have always been professional and very helpful.

    Over the years we've dealt with cases of identity theft as well as unknown and unauthorized charges. The most recent dispute was over duplicate charges made by one of my utilities due to an error on the part of that utility's online payment portal. The utility refused to correct the error or reverse the charge, despite my immediate contact and request. While I found their behavior outrageous, even unethical or fraudulent, the bank teller helped me figure out how to get the utility to sort it out to my satisfaction.

    My bank tellers know me by name and are always warm in their greetings. Perhaps that's just part of banking in a small town branch, but I appreciate it.

    Overall my experience has been good., December, 2016

    It's a product of less is more. I don't have to have much interaction. Everything is handled automatically. There aren't often many things that require my intervention, which is pleasant. I set up my accounts a few years ago. All my bills get paid automatically. My checks are directly deposited. Any fees are automatically handled. They've also assured me that rates are kept low because they keep people with wonky names from getting loans. Which is good because people with strange names are strange. They have plenty of locations and atms around at gas stations. There's never an issue trying to get cash, unless I'm on the east coast because they don't any locations there and I'm never entirely sure which atms if any are affiliated with them that I could use. But since I'm rarely on the east coast it doesn't matter that much.

    They have been very helpful when I needed it most., December, 2016

    This bank has given me a lot of things. They provided me with a credit increase so I could have the funds available to build my new work computer. They have also been proactive in stopping fraudulent charges. My wife's wallet was stolen in 2013 and the thieves tried to use her bank card at several places, but we called once we realized it was stolen and they froze it immediately. They tried to use the card in a couple more places, but they didn't get more than a meal at McDonald's and honestly if they needed food that bad I'm glad it went to good use.

    The only complaint I have with my bank is that they still only clear $200 of my paycheck each time I deposit it. Since I've been a member in good standing for a long time I would think they could clear the whole thing.

    We have someone we've gotten to know who has our back. She is fair and works with us. However, go higher up beyond local bank and those people are not so friendly and not so nice., December, 2016

    We've stayed at the same location through something like four banks changes/takeovers. US Bank has been the longest and we've done lots of business with them. We have a checking and savings accounts with the banks and our home loan--which will be paid off in four years. Yeah!!!

    Corporately, I am not impressed. They send out very stupid scare letters that come way before anything is due. However, locally we have very good people who care and are friendly and try to make things right. I told the women we work with that when she retires, we just might find another bank.

    Of course, I'm pretty sure she won't even think of retiring until sometime after our home loan is paid off. Can not wait for that!!

    My Experience with this bank its been laid back not many problems but many solutions, December, 2016

    US Bank is great because since the moment I open my first account everything is been clear. They have helped me out in a couple transactions I made a mistake on and I was able to have piece of mind, also I was able to rebuild my credit and save some money thanks to a couple of the tellers I dealt with , also thanks to my bank I haven't received a paper check in over 10 years but all payments go straight to the bank, another reason I like this bank everywhere I have moved to there is always a branch close and I don't need to go far and also the online banking option is great and easy to use in other words my experience has been great and have never been disappointed by US Bank.

    I haven't had any problems at all., December, 2016

    Every time I've had to interact with the bank everything has gone very smoothly. I haven't had many problems at all. The only problems that I had were caused by overdrafts a long time ago. Those haven't been a problem for a pretty long time. All of my transactions have gone through quickly. I have to transfer money to my bank from a variety of sources because of the nature of my job. Because of this I have to rely on the bank for quick transfer of my money so that I can actually eat every day and get my payments in on time. This hasn't been a problem at all. They usually transfer everything within one business day, which has been very helpful to me. I probably wouldn't use another bank.

    While the support is kind, they are not good at their jobs, and so my experience has been frustrating., December, 2016

    I first opened my account at a local branch, during which I had to wait some twenty minutes before a teller became available. This in itself didn't stand out too much to me, but I ended up working with someone whose title was "manager-to-be," and I found it difficult to understand the various terms and technicalities he mentioned. For example, I wanted to open both a Checkings and Savings account, but I couldn't open one because I didn't have a US Bank credit card. However, I am an authorized user on my mother's US Bank credit card, so he said I might be able to open one. I later found out that I couldn't. When I asked him what the interest rate on the savings account was, he showed me a sheet that said 0.05%, then told me the APY was 5%. Furthermore, when we went to set up online banking, he was unable to read his own handwriting and I was locked out of my newly-made account for a few days, and when I went to get my PIN for my debit card, they told me to wait for it in the mail, then said they forgot to mail it to me. While US Bank employees may be formal and respectful, their shocking inability to perform their jobs is why I would not recommend them. Their monthly statements come over a week into the next month and receiving assistance over the phone requires not only a lot of waiting time but also navigating through a complicated phone system.

    My overall experience has been very positive with US Bank., December, 2016

    I think this is probably the most satisfied that I have ever been with any bank. I rarely have excessive waits on hold when I call customer service, the tellers at the bank are always courteous and helpful,and online banking is convenient and easy. I love the fact that I can deposit checks through the mobile app. What initially attracted me to the bank was the fact that they had special provisions for college students. I am a 59 year old woman who returned to college over 3 years ago. Because of the fact that I am a student, I don't pay any banking fees, as long as I remain in college. And when I called customer service for help with something a few months back, they asked me if I would like to open a savings account and I did. It was so simple. I didn't have the money to make my opening deposit at the time, so they sent me the link, and I opened it a couple of weeks later when I did. I am very happy with the service!

    It has been a great experience., December, 2016

    As a US Bank customer, I've been very, very pleased. Not only do they offer a variety of services, their employees are always helpful and nice to deal with. Currently, I have a checking account, a savings account, and a safety deposit box all through US Bank and I am happy with all three services. Whenever I have a question or issue with any of these services, the employees are always responsive whether it be in person, via email, or via a phone call. I have been a customer for over 15 years and I do not foresee any reason to leave in the future. In fact, as my financial status levels out over the next few years, I can see looking into what other services they may offer to assist with investing my money smartly.

    I have had a mostly pleasant experience with them., January, 2017

    I have been with US Bank for about 8 years now. I chose them because it was the bank that most of my family members had been using, and they had had great experiences with it. Because of my age at the time, as well as being a college student, I was able to get a student checking account, which meant that the fees would be waived. I still do not have to pay any monthly fees to keep my account with them. The only negative experience I have had with US Bank was when I had a credit card with them, and I missed several payments on it. I ended up having to pay a lot of fees, and my credit card ended up being closed. However, this was my own fault, rather than the bank's, even though I felt that the fees were too high.

    Most of the interactions I've had over the years have been positive or at least neutral., January, 2017

    I've been a member at US bank for the last 19 years. It was my first, and the only, bank that I've dealt with. I chose them because they were the closest bank to my house. I go to the same branch location 99% of the time. They've always been very friendly, and quick to answer any questions that I had. My student loans, and car loan are both through them as well. They only negative thing I can think of are that they are often understaffed at the location I go to so you need to expect to wait a while. I've never really had any serious issues, and it's been almost completely hassle free which is all I really want from a bank. To be honest I've never really shopped around for better rates or fees so I can't compare them to other banks in that regard, but I feel comfortable with them.

    It has been pleasant and I've had no issues in the 20 years of business with them., January, 2017

    Well, I've banked with them for over 20 years. I also have a business checking account with them and a revolving credit line open with them. I am very pleased with their customer service and convenience of locations in my area. The last time I was in to open anything new was my business checking account about four years ago. The service was very good and they treated me well. I do think that if you don't complain or request certain fees be taken off that they will leave them on as long as they can. This was demonstrated when congress stated that banks could not charge certain fees any longer so a lot of banks went back to not having free checking. Ours did too and we suddenly had an $8 a month charge for our checking account. It stayed on there until finally we called and complained about it and they said that they would be happy to take it off now that we called.
