    USAA Federal Savings Bank makes banking easy and convenient for me., September, 2016

    USAA Federal Savings Bank is a bank promoted to military members. Even though they do not have any physical branch locations convenient to us, they make banking easy. Deposits can easily be made via mobile app. Checks are provided free of charge, and they refund other bank's ATM fees up to $15.00 per month. This makes it great because I can use any ATM without worrying about fees. Their rates for savings accounts and CDs are comparable to other banks, but not the highest. They also provide low rates for car loans and they make it easy by sending you a loan check that you then fill in at the car dealer with the amount you want to finance. The customer service at USAA is also top notch. They are easily accessible by phone with minimum hold times. We love banking with USAA.

    I absolutely love my bank, my experience has been wonderful., October, 2016

    USAA has the absolute best customer service of any bank that I have ever dealt with. We also have our car and homeowner's insurance with them. One year, we had a major hail storm come through and we had to file claims on both our car and house. The adjusters came out the next day and we were on our way to fixing everything within the week. It was amazingly fast and everyone was so polite!

    Anytime I have called them they are more than helpful. Another example- we are refinancing our home loan (not through USAA sadly) so we had to call them about the homeowner's policy. The guy on the phone was so helpful and even helped me with a problem that wasn't related to the homeowner's policy!

    USAA also doesn't have any fees for any of their products and will even reimburse us 100% of any ATM fee. I just love this company!

    This bank has met my expectations for functional purposes and exceeded my expectations for customer service., October, 2016

    The accounts I have at this bank were opened a little more than a year ago. When my family situation changed and I had to move, I began using these accounts more actively. Everything about my life changed about a year ago, including my address, my name, etc. When basic identification information changes, the financial institutions that one does business with have to be alerted in order to maintain access to the accounts. I called the bank to change this information and was very surprised at how easy it was. Everyone I have spoken to has remained friendly and professional. It was a stark contrast to the experiences I had with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Beyond the time when I had to deal with that upheaval, I have also really enjoyed having access to my accounts via the mobile web app. I can deposit checks using my phone, which is extremely convenient since there isn't any physical location near my home where I can accomplish that easily.

    I have had nothing but good experiences with USAA, October, 2016

    After joining the military, my husband joined a credit Union that comes highly recommended by our branch of service. We stuck with them for a while, but after some displeasing situation, we decided to switch to USAA. It has been a great experience. It was simple to apply and start a checking account. We also switched our auto insurance and rental insurance to USAA and got a great rate. USAA recently opened a banking center near our home and we couldn't be happier to have a brick and mortar option now. Something that I love is that the ATM's allow you to choose denomination. That is something that I haven't seen before. The customer service both at the backing center and over the phone have been excellent. We love the mobile platform and the ease of depositing money from home.

    Great with Customer service., October, 2016

    This bank is pretty amazing in my book there are a pretty large bank but treat you like a small bank would.Just last week I had a issue with someone charging me way to much I called the bank they fixed it that day and where so very nice about it.The only down fall with this bank is that they have no locations so you really need to make sure you are ok with that you can make deposits at any UPS store and you can with draw for free at any bank ATM plus another great thing is they didn't charge me anything for checks.This is a milarty base bank I am not in the service but my dad was so I get all the benefits from that witch is a lot.I think people really would like this bank if you give then a shot and try it out.I have only had great experience with them.

    Trying at times and very nice at others., October, 2016

    I liked my bank until I had a bad experience requesting a new card. My debit card expired and I was waiting for a new one to come in the mail. I use this bank as more of a saving so I didn't mind waiting for the card to come. Six months I waited and a new card never showed up. I then tried to go online to request a new card and was informed that I needed to call. Ok, thats a little inconvenient but not that big of a deal. So I call and talk to the lady, she's very nice and helpful. She apologizes and says she'll ship one out right away. I think that was nice of her and USAA to get me a card right away after not sending one. I get my card within 2 days. I then look at my account to find that they took $8 dollars out of my account for shipping the card to me faster. I was never told I was going to be charged for the faster shipping! I mean I had already gone 6 months without the card, what is another week going to do. After this experience I no longer trust this bank and have really considered closing my account all together.

    Outstanding., October, 2016

    Even when USAA has shortcomings when it comes to their interest rates or any other area that might make you want to shy away their outstanding customer service is what draws you back. I would happily pay a couple extra interest points or have one less on a savings account and be able to deal with USAA than any other bank. They are able to assist you with almost anything that you could need from car insurance to large business loans. Their online tools are comprehensive and easy to use from mortgage rate calculator or able to take out policies online easily and quickly. Overall i have been incredible happy and satisfied with USAA and hope to continue to use them for all y need in the future for as long as I can.

    My overall experience has been very positive., October, 2016

    This bank provides excellent customer service and provides very timely follow-up. The bank has an excellent website that provides value-added services such as providing your FICO score on the credit card page. You are often able to chat with representatives and if not, you can send secure emails. The bank also has an excellent mobile app. One of the most convenient features is being able to deposit checks electronically. I also appreciate that the bank has multiple ATMs around town at which you can actually deposit cash. There is so much that you can do online, which makes the bank so convenient to use. I will probably never switch banks unless a very negative customer service situation were to occur, which I really don't expect with this bank. Consider USAA!

    USAA has been excellent in serving all of my needs no matter where I am., November, 2016

    I opened this account when I was a military wife. It was highly recommended by all of my military friends. The application was easy even though I had to mail everything back and forth from being stationed in Germany. It made banking super easy for me since I could easily use my debit card on post. When I separated from my husband, I had called USAA for a banking question and they were able to notice that my husband had already disclosed us as being separated. They were polite and were very helpful in making my accounts more secure and separate from my husband. Over the years, they have offered me budgeting options over the phone. Their online banking and mobile apps have always been ahead of everyone else. I also love that I am able to continue banking with them even though I am no longer part of a military family.

    I truly couldn't be happier., November, 2016

    At a time whenever I could not get another checking account, other than from another online banking institution with a failing business model, USAA Federal Savings Bank willingly gave me a checking account and a savings. Ever since then, I have used a variety of their services for all manner of things, including improving my credit score (which used to be absolutely terrible). Their fees are almost non-existent in my experience and they have agreements with other banks nationwide so there are no ATM fees with you withdraw cash. Plus, even if a fee is assessed on a cash withdrawal, USAA returns fifteen dollars of those fees each month, deposited directly into my checking account. I truly could not be happier with my banking experience through USAA; they are much better than any other bank the I have used.

    They are always willing to help., November, 2016

    They offered me a discount on my car insurance for opening the checking account. Anytime I have had an issue with my account they have always been helpful. The only complaint I really have is that sometimes they put a long hold on checks deposited. There have been times when I've had to wait 10 days for a federal tax return check to be released to me. One of my favorite things about this bank is that they release funds direct deposited one day early. So my husband who is supposed to be paid on monday will actually get the check on friday. They are very generous reversing any fees that you can incurred as long as it is not a regular thing. I enjoy being able to call at anytime and not be connected to a foreign call center.

    My overall experience with this bank has been excellent., November, 2016

    One of the most important things a bank can provide is good customer service. USAA has excellent customer service. I have been with them for over 5 years, and in those five years I have always had great customer service. When I call in, the wait is always short, and the people I speak to are pleasant, helpful, and well informed. I have never had someone sound impatient, or annoyed when I call in. When I applied for a credit card my application was easy to fill out, and was processed quickly. Another thing I love about USAA is the communication. They keep my in the loop about what is going on by email, or the occasional phone call. I also got my car loan through USAA. Not only did they have the lowest rates, but the also stayed on the phone with me through the entire process of buying the car. USAA has been a great bank, and I cannot imagine leaving them in the future. I feel like they care about each individual, and will do what they can to help fix whatever problem I have.

    I have had no major issues with this bank., November, 2016

    In my experience this bank is quite excellent. I enjoy the use of the mobile app provided by the bank to deposit checks, pay bills, and check my balance. I have not had any major issues with this bank since I opened my account. I joined this bank because they service veterans and their families and also active military. I am a veteran and I wanted to join for the recognition that they give to service members. I have not had any regrets so far. This bank has also helped me with identity theft issues as well. On two occasions in the last five years or so I have had mysterious charges on my debit card that they bank has caught and shut my card down for. I really appreciate the bank looking out for me.

    I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with USAA., December, 2016

    I have been a customer of USAA since I was young. My father was in the Navy, and therefore my family qualified to use their services. I started with insurance policies, and have grown to include home, auto, and life coverage. I added banking accounts to my USAA portfolio once I became an adult. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with this. I am happy with the rates I receive, the ease of completing transactions, the bill pay options available, and the outstanding customer service I receive. Despite not having physical locations I can go to, I find that I am never unable to receive the services I need. One example is the policy that customer's are able to use any ATM machine of their choosing, and whatever fees are assessed are refunded. Overall, I am thrilled with this bank and recommend them to anyone who is eligible.

    My experience has been outstanding with USAA., December, 2016

    I have been a member of USAA for several years now, since I became involved with my now husband. We have an auto loan through them as well as our checking, two savings accounts, a credit card, auto insurance and my life insurance. Our savings account for our daughter has great interest and is very easy to transfer money into. Our auto loan and auto insurance have fantastic rates and are so inexpensive that I can't even believe it. We have over drafted out account several times through mistakes on our end or via paypal. When contacting the bank they were extremely helpful in getting the overdraft fees removed. Even after we had hit our maximum number of fees we are allowed to have removed per year, they still helped us and removed them. Their customer service representatives are always the kindest and most helpful people I have ever encountered. They go above and beyond to help us in whatever we need. Recently we were hit by a hurricane and lost all the food in our refrigerator and freezer. USAA gave us $500 to replace the food due to us having renters insurance with them. It took only a couple of days to receive and didn't come with a deductible. I'm thankful my husband was in the military so that we can use USAA.

    They were great about a decade ago, but customer service has gone downhill fast., December, 2016

    I signed up with USAA while I was in military boot camp, and have had continuous accounts with them ever since. I took out (and paid off) a car loan and a personal loan with them, and have maintained a credit card with them for almost a decade now.

    In the last year or two, they've started offering membership to more and more people, and their customer service has gotten absolutely terrible at the same time. They put a 10 business day deposit hold on one of my paychecks the week of Christmas last year, and absolutely refused to lift it despite offers to have my company call in and verify the money or my decade-long record with their bank. They treated me like a potential criminal, and were rude to me every time I called.

    They've also insisted I owe them $50 on an insurance policy that I cancelled. It was paid in full in advance when I cancelled, and they actually owe ME that money, but once again, they treat me like a liar and refuse to correct the balance to reflect who owes whom.

    I'm incredibly dissatisfied with USAA at this point. They aren't what they used to be.

    Pretty good bank, just annoyed because there are only ATM's, December, 2016

    everything about this bank is fine, but there are only ATM's. when i need to withdraw cash I need to find a USAA ATM and if I can't I have to pay the fee. If I need to withdraw more than the daily limit, there's no bank teller for me to go into and withdraw. It's incredibly annoying. Bills take a few too many days to post sometimes, which is annoying because I like to see exactly what I have in my account at all times. I wish things would just update a little faster. They sent a new debit card to my wife that has now taken three months to arrive. When we question it, they tell us to just keep waiting, but her card no longer works. This is a huge problem given the only ATM thing.

    It's been really great., December, 2016

    U.S.A.A. has been really great for our auto insurance. Went with them when I realized how much we were getting taken advantage of money wise with our previous auto insurance. Called them up and we talk and they were about to more cut that bill in half so that made me very happy. I also have a few other items through them which gave a small discount on the auto insurance. I really loved that. When we got another car they were once again great! They helped me get the info they need with ease and also gave another little discount on the price for having two cars. They have always been very friendly and very helpful whether it be online help or on the phone. I haven't had a problem yet with them! I plan on stay with them and recommend them to a few that I know that can have it through them!

    My experience with USAA has been positive with every customer service agent I've dealt with and in every aspect of our interactions., December, 2016

    We have banked with USAA since my husband joined the Navy more than 20 years ago. When we married over 14 years ago, I joined as well. We have checking, savings, and insurance accounts as well as my husband's credit card. Any time I have had to call for an insurance claim, it was handled quickly and without any problems. If our account was compromised, it was dealt with swiftly and with no adverse effects to us. The money was immediately returned to our account while an investigation was pending. Their mobile deposit tool on the app makes depositing checks easy even without a brick and mortar office. The only complaint I have is that there is no easy way to deposit cash so if you have a lot, you have to get a money order to do so unless you happen to live near one of the few places that accepts cash deposits. Overall, our experience has been very positive and we are happy with USAA as our bank.

    My experience has been great, I have no complaints., December, 2016

    USAA has great customer service. They have extended hours and you can typically talk to someone beyond the typical 8-5. They reimburse ATM fees, which is nice so you don't have to search around town for a USAA atm. Their online banking and mobile app are easy to use. My only complaint would be that I wish there were more brick and mortar locations. I don't have one in my town so I have never visited one. I do all my banking online. But sometimes it is a little inconvenient when you have cash that you would like to deposit. But I rather only have that small problem then bank with someone else. It's great with direct deposit and mobile deposit typically is available immediately. So they don't hold your money hostage like other banks.

    My overall experience has been very positive., December, 2016

    I started with them on my auto insurance and decided last summer to finally consolidate all my accounts with USAA. They made the process very easy and helped out all along the way. The checking account reimburses up to ten non-network ATM fees per month, which is great. I have also had a great experience with their website and mobile app. Both are very user friendly and offer a great snapshot of all your accounts at once and where you stand with the amounts owed versus what you have in your accounts. The car insurance they offer is also great, the rates are significantly lower than Progressive, which I was using previously. The claims process is also very easy and straightforward. Overall, USAA is very customer focused and goes out of their way to make your experience pleasant.

    nOTHING BUT PROFESSIONAL AND EXCELLENT PEOPLE, December, 2016

    I CHOSE THIS BANK BECAUSE I REALLY NEEDED SOMETHING NEW AFTER HAVING MY CARD INFO STOLEN WHILE I WAS WITH BANK OF AMERICA OVERSEAS. THEY COULD NOT CATCH THE FRAUDULENT CHARGES AND CANCELLED MY CARD WHILE OVERSEAS. I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. I ORDERED A NEW CARD AND ALSO SIGNED UP FOR USA THE VERY SAME DAY AND I RECEIVED THE USAA CARD IN JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS WHICH WAS INSANE. I WAS WAITING WEEKS FOR MY BANK OF AMERICA CARD WHICH WASN'T A SURPRISE BECAUSE THEY ARE AN AWFUL COMPANY TO WORK WITH. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY BUSINESS TO ANOTHER BIG BANK AGAIN ESPECIALLY KNOWING THAT THEY USE MY MONEY AND BASICALLY GAMBLE WITH IT AND HAVE NO CONSEQUENCES FOR DOING SO. I LIKE HAVING A SMALL BANK OVERALL.

    This bank has been a pleasure to work with., January, 2017

    We decided to open this account after we got married, to have a joint bank account besides our personal accounts. We are currently using this account to keep our emergency funds and funds for our future baby. This bank was recommended to us by many of my husband's military co-workers. This is the only bank I know of that offers ATM use nationwide for no fee. There are no monthly service fees for the checking account, which is a plus. The signup process was a bit troublesome, mainly due to a problem on their systems that they were having at the time. The person assisting us on the phone was very friendly and sincere about it, so we didn't have too many complaints about that. So far, there has been no major issues with this bank, and we're happy with their services.

    best banking experience ever., January, 2017

    There are many things i love about usaa. I can deposit checks to my bank account directly from my phone. their mobile app is really easy to use and with my iphone i can log in with my finger print. While I dont have any local branches to goto i really dont need any. i can do everything from my phone or computer and if i need to deposite cash I can goto a ups store and do it there. I get up to 5 atm fee rebates a month. I normally just use a atm that dosnt charge a feee but if I do use one that charges I get a credit for the fee at the end of the month. You do not need to be a military member to have a usaa account but it does give you some extra perks if you are

    Overall it has been a great experience., January, 2017

    My parents started me at this bank when I was young. Even though I'm not military, I'm able to bank with them because my dad's a member. Over the years, I also belonged to a couple other banks. It was a few years I decided to make USAA my main bank due to a few reasons. My husband travels due to his job. With USAA, we are reimbursed for up to 6 withdrawal fees from other banks. This has been really convenient when we need to withdrawal money because we can go to any bank we want. Even though other banks also have this feature, I really like how I can deposit my checks on my phone. I really like that it posts to my account right away without even leaving my house. Another huge benefit that I love is that paychecks are deposited a day earlier. I also have credit cards with USAA and their rates are the best I've seen. The only negative thing for me is that the interest rate for the savings accounts are really low. Even though I have savings account with them, I keep most of my savings in other banks with better interest rates.

    Overall, my experience with this bank has been disappointing., January, 2017

    As Treasurer of the PTO at my son's school, I have had multiple contacts with this credit union. Initially we were very glad to use them, and they provided generous sponsorship. They were attentive and helpful. Over the past two years their quality of service has deteriorated to the point where we are in the process of looking into changing banks. The following are example of the problems we have had: 1) making deposits is painfully slow and, on more than one occasion the bank has missed entering check information, then been unable to locate the check they missed entering; 2) obtaining accurate information from the local branch when we needed help; and 3) when we had a fraud problem with our debit card they seemed to struggle with how to properly address the issue, rather than responding pro-actively.

    Very professional and courteous., January, 2017

    This bank is only available to military members and their dependents and as such they are able to offer very competitive insurance and banking options. They refund all out of network ATM fees. They do not have many branch locations at all however and this can be inconvenient. Though most of my income is direct deposit, I occasionally receive paper checks and depositing these checks was a problem until USAA implemented an option to deposit checks via their mobile banking app. Because of this I have absolutely no issues with the bank. Each time I call, they either address me by my former rank in the military or at the very least by a civilian salutation. They are very courteous. I would be happy if their customer service hours were extended to 24 hours a day but I don't see this happening anytime soon.

    great customer service and products, January, 2017

    Although the bank does not have a physical location in South Carolina it has been by far the best financial institution I have dealt with. The provide a number of fee free withdrawals from any atm and there are also three unlimited use atms less than a mile from my residence. When you contact this bank you are meat with a automated system, however if you choose to speak with a representative you spend very little time on hold. The people you speak with a are cheerful and very helpful. On the weekend, holidays and after hours you will not be able to speak with a representative, which some may not like, but I like the small business feel. Overall my experience has been excellent with USAA. I would not change banks at this time.

    USAA is an excellent company all around and their banking branch is no exception., April, 2017

    USAA started off as an insurance company for US military, and grew to offer a number of other services as well including banking. I use a number of their products including a checking account, a savings account, Certificate of Deposit accounts, home insurance, life insurance and car insurance. Their CDs offer competitive rates and variable terms and if you need the money out of your CD in case of an emergency, there isn't a huge penalty either. They offer competitive rates for auto and home loans, and have a ZERO APR credit card available to transfer charges to so you can save yourself interest rate charges on other cars. Even the interest rate is lower than most credit cards after the zero percent period expires. Because the bank doesn't have physical locations they were among the first banks offering innovative check photo scan technology where you can take a photo of your check with your smartphone and upload it to your account. The bank also offers a lot of great spending and saving tracking tools to help you stay on track. I love it.

    My experience has been great., May, 2017

    I love using USAA bank. They have excelent customer service and never try and sell product. I have never had a problem when using the bank here. I would definitely recommend it to a friend or relative. I feel my money and personal information is very secure with USAA. I think they value costumer loyalty. We also have other products with USAA that we receive a discount on because we bank there as well. They provide many services that other places would charge for such as financial advice. I also enjoy that they seem to keep up with the latest technologyc such as having a great mobile ability with the ability to deposit checks from my phone. Even though they do not offer physical locations I do not feel this has been a problem.

    It's been great, they really cater to customers needs., June, 2017

    The customer service at this bank is enough to make me stay no matter what. Their employees are always professional and don't make it seem like a burden when you call with questions or concerns. In general, I'm very satisfied what they offer us as customers. My husband and I got our home loan through them and it has been nothing but a pleasant experience. Last year I lost my debit card and had fraudulent charges and they were great throughout the whole process and told me about different option they offer to protect me against future fraudulent charges. My new card they issued me got to me very quickly. Overall, I've had nothing but an awesome experience with this bank. I recommend them to any friends or family that are eligible to join.

    USAA has been really great to me, with nice incentives and low fees., July, 2017

    I found USAA when my former bank Chase started introducing fees to its fee-free checking. USAA primarily serves military but was accepting applications from everyone at the time. The ability to use any ATM to withdraw money without fees was great and there was no minimum balance required for its basic checking. It was exactly what I was looking for in a bank. I didn't want to have to worry about whether I was going to get charged every time I made any sort of transaction. Customer service has been very friendly and helpful when I've had issues with the account. I was able to get replacement checks easily. The only drawback that I've experienced so far is that there are relatively few locations to do banking in person, and it's hard to deposit cash since that can't be done on a mobile device or at non-USAA ATMs.

    Fluid, easy access bank that provides nothing but phenomenal service to me., October, 2017

    I really appreciate this bank that I'm with. USAA has continued to serve me well for years. And I have no intentions of switching. They offer so many services to me such as banking, auto loans, brokerage access, and auto insurance. These services have kept me with them for more than 8 years now and one of the best things about this bank is the customer service. The customer service is one of the best features about this bank. If I had questions or issues about just about anything, I would get immediate responses by well trained competent individuals who can answer and solve my problems to the best of their abilities. The only thing I don't like about the bank is that despite it being online, it does not offer high yield savings options.
